Mike
Mike watches everything, works out what is really broken, fixes it and tells the people who were waiting.
Mike reads every error and every customer message as it arrives, on our newest code and on code that is ten years old, so a fix is under way before anybody asks.

He watches everything
Every error from every part of the system, every crash report, what customers write to us by email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and text, and the questions Simi could not answer.
He works out what each one is
A bug, a feature request, a gap in the help articles, a question about the customer's account or a passing fault at a supplier.
He decides what to do about it
New, the same as one already open, an old bug that has come back, or not worth acting on, each with how sure he is.
He raises the ticket himself
A real problem becomes a ticket with the evidence attached and the customer who reported it linked.
He fixes it
He reads the code, makes the change, checks the software still builds and proposes it for review with a full report.
He takes feedback
An engineer leaves a comment and Mike reworks the same fix, the way a colleague would.
He reviews other changes
Mike reads changes made by the team and points out what could go wrong before they go live.
He closes the loop
When a fix lands he marks the customer's own message as resolved and tells the person they wrote to.
He goes back when a fix does not hold
A ticket that is reopened puts Mike straight back on the problem.
He knows when it needs a person
Anything he should not decide alone goes to a human, with everything he found.
An engineer always approves
Mike flags risky changes, refuses unsafe requests, never approves his own work and never puts anything live.
Nothing that breaks in your software waits for someone to notice it.
Mike is on it within a minute, at any hour, and our engineers spend their time on your business.
